Nanofilm transfer Research background As a key technology for utilizing nanofilms, a transfer method is attracting great attention in next-generation applications such as flexible/stretchable devices, optoelectronics, and biomedical devices. Here, we utilized mechanical transfer techniques by controlling the peeling speed of the adherend and hydrophilicity/hydrophobicity of the substrate to transfer various nano-thin films such as graphene and gold thin film with diverse patterns. – Demonstration of selective transfer method using various patterns – Transfer printing for monolayer graphene to SiO2/Si substrate using PDMS stamp Nanofilm rolling Research background A novel method has been developed which enables layer-by-layer assembly of free-standing nanofilms by exploiting the water surface and the rolling manner. The water surface has merit as an ideal platform for rolling the nanofilms, allowing adhesion control and frictionless sliding. This work can potentially lead to a breakthrough in the nanofilm assembly processes. – Demonstration of the tubular EAP actuator & free-standing nanofilm tube |
